Hey all, I've checked other answers, but some date back quite a few years, so hoping someone may have a fresher answer. Tarmac going down today, the weather is okay, conditions fine. Any idea how soon is safe to drive on it? The drive has quite a slop on it, so there will be immediate wheel turning to get in and out of the drive. Also planning to park a truck (3.5 ton) soon, once its in, it won't really be moved, or wheel turning. Just terrified I'll make a mistake and destroy it after all the money being spent on it 😏

Ideally it should sit for 24 hours but most people would park on fresh tarmac after a few hours but that's not recommended. With respect you shouldn't be doing any wheel cutting or parking heavy lorries as both will destroy the tarmac. Concrete would have been a more appropriate solution to your predicament.
Hijacking, hope it's okay. Our tarmac is down about 15/16 years, and has become ravelled in places as well as faded overall. Is it possible to just get a fresh, thin layer on top to revive it, or a more serious job?
