Sky Go App Issue

    My issue --> i am unable to view the recordings tab on Sky Go

    My phone is a Samsung S10

    I get the following message when i select the recordings tab

    "Sky Q Box not found - you must be connected to a Sky Q box....." :(

    (I have a multiroom sub and Sky Go is activated))

    However if i launch the older Sky + app it says

    "We have detected a Sky Q box in your home"

    WTF

    SO

    The brand new shiny Sky Go App DOES NOT detect my Sky Q box

    BUT

    The older and deprecated Sky + App DOES detect my Sky Q box

    Plus

    This issue only happens on 2 Android Devices
    • Samsung S10 Android phone
    • Samsung A51 Android phone

    Apple devices can successfully connect to Sky Go to view recordings

    • iPad
    • iPhone 8


    Sky are apparently not aware of any issue - loads on Sky forums having a similar issue though

    I do remember seeing some reference to Sky Go issues caused by certain Firewall settings on Eir router - may not be relevant to this though

    Mine is the Sagemcom f3000

    So just wondering

    Is it an Android issue rather than a Sky issue and i will just have to live with it?

    OR

    is there an amazing Boards member out there who can advise of some setting that i can magically change to get this working :) Cash offers would be offered but the pandemic has :pac: all available resources ......!!!!

    Can anyone help or offer any suggestions?

    Update:

    Android 11 update is now available for the Samsung S10 device

    Once i completed this update I was able to connect to the Sky Q box successfully ......!!!!

    Update 2:

    Sky Go has just stopped working again.

    The phone was not restarted

    The router was not restarted

    Gone from being able to view recordings to now "Sky Q box not found"

    WTF :mad:

    Would anyone know what setting might be causing this?
