    Hi
I am moving to the willows dunshaughlin in the next few weeks and they do not have the fiber line down yet so thinking of getting sky dish broadband until it comes in (as long as sky let's me upgrade without charge)

What is sky dish broadband like, be used for Netflix,Xbox etc.

Other option is to use 3 SIM broadband.

    Any advice would be great.
    Thanks

I thought Sky provided broadband only through a phone line ala eircom/Vodafone, and the dish was for TV only.

When you say Sky dish broadband do you mean satellite broadband ?

You won't get broadband through a Sky TV dish.

But you can get broadband through a satellite dish.

But it's only really a option of last resort if you can't get anything else.

Thanks for the above, so this is how little I know about non fiber broadband. So can I get broadband from sky through a phone line and if so do I have to have to pay more for that or is it part of sky broadband, and is it any good.

Sorry for all the stupid questions

You can get sky broadband through the phone line
It is probably cheaper bundled with a Sky TV package
But if you can get broadband through the phone line you have a choice of providers, sky, Vodafone, Eir etc etc
    Shop around for it.

Your speed will be dependent on how far you are from the cabinet or exchange, if the cabinet has fiber etc etc.
