Lads just a quick question about the above

Have a Seiko with a 5m82 movement and when after changing the date last Tuesday I cannot manage to screw in the crown. Might have damaged the threads. Does that affect the water resistance now or any ideas?

It will affect the waterproofing, it'll be ok washing the dishes, but don't dip it in water.

Can you try twisting it slowly anti-clockwise until you hear/feel the thread click, then turn it clockwise. You have to push the crown in slightly for the first part of the thread to catch, just in case you are forgetting this.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
