Replaceing windows

We are looking at replacing the windows/doors in the house including a larger window on the stairs to improve light.

We had a guy out from Global home improvements/Global windows and felt he was pushing a hard sell.
    RRP = 41K :eek:
    Less winter discount 26K
Less the on the day discount 23K
No idea what the price would be after the HRI Scheme

Just the front/North face would be 16K

The product impressed use but the hard sell really turned me off.

Can anyone recommend other companies that would have a good quality product with proper installation ?
Even someone to talk us through options upvc/aluminum/alu-clad - double/triple glaze

The house was built in 90 with single glaze wood frame and in 91 the builder put thin double glass in the original wood frame.

    Based in Noth Kildare/West Dublin

On the list to ring are
    Munsterjoinery
    Keane windows
    Wright windows
    Emerald windows

    Thanks in advance

If the full price is €23,000 then claiming through the HRI scheme would reduce the cost to €20,264. (ie. you'd get €1368 back in each of the following two tax years).

I've had alu-clad windows and doors for over 10 years and like them. They look well both from inside and outside and I've had no problems with them. Only issue is that triple glazing wasn't available when I got them installed but I'd get it if I was installing the windows now.

They're made by a company on your list.
