Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mash tun recirculation

Hi, doing all grain brews a while. Trying to improve it without costing a lot. One thing that I've seen on the likes of the grainfather etc is they recirculate the work while it's mashing for clearer wort. Has anyone tried to do this with picnic cooler mash tun. Easily done with solar pump and extra hoses but would the wort loose alot of heat by the recirculation. Just wondering if anyone has attempted it or if it's worth doing. Thanks.

Are you having a problem with cloudy beer? Seems a lot of faff to me...

Have you tried other solutions? I'll normally use a teaspoon of irish moss in the end of the boil, coo quickly and filter into the fermenter - beers usually come out crystal clear.

All of my beers come out OK after 2-4 weeks in the bottle, just looking to see if people were doing anything like what I mentioned. No problems just seeing if I can make it better. Thanks for your pointers. I'm doing all of those.

Ah HERMS system is what you would need to avoid the temp drop

A very fancy system, *brewing porn*
