I've logged in (trial period 2.99p/month for 6 months).
The only movies I can see are Bollywood titles !!
I saw another thread on boards.ie from a few months back bemoaning lack of movie titles.

Anyone else here with an Irish account who can tell me titles of movies they can get on Prime video ?

I am logging on using primevideo.com and using my Amazon account, details show that I am being billed 2.99Euro per month until early 2018.

Also, when I logged in a good few weeks back I thought Sneaky Pete TV series was available but it seems to have gone now.
I've not been using the service for a good few weeks due to being pretty busy at work.

Yes movie selection is brutal at best, they added a ton of utter garbage there recently which means it's not worth the effort to scroll through. I check the new additions via justwatch.com/ie and add any I see to my watch list (I've added none in an age!) The TV is better in fairness but after the few headliners it gets very thin very quickly. Sneaky Pete is still there when I checked the app just thete. Overall worth 2.99 for now but I'll be dropping it when it goes to 6 quid.

    A few things to note;
English Titles with foreign language scenes have had the auto Subtitles stripped out and in most cases there are none when you try to switch on manually, meaning scenes cannot be understood (e.g. Danish scenes in Mr Robot, Spanish scenes in Fear TWD, the movie The Debt is unwatchable) extremely annoying.

Very limited device support however if you have a UK PSN account you can download the app on PS3/4 and it shows the Irish library just fine.
ROKU app via UK store shows UK library but with everything bar one or two items Geo locked it's useless for now. Also app on my 2014 Sammy and works via AV cable on iOS.

Sometimes you will see items on justwatch that don't appear under any viewing groups in the app, these can still be added to your watch list via linking from justwatch or via search in the app.

Support are complete and utter baffoons, either not reading your mails, not able to understand the issue or assuming you are wrong, you get the same response to every query no matter how different they are, hmmm,

In short; keep expectations low :pac:

Many thanks for the comprehensive reply Dave.

I am not sure what happened when I logged in via browser to prime video but I had a quick look at the iPhone prime video app this morning and it did have the selection of movies (albeit not a great selection) for Ireland.
My web account seemed to be just showing Bollywood movies last night... maybe a glitch !

I'm new to online tv really so I'll probably kick the tyres with Amazon Prime but keep my expectations low, like you say :)

    thx!

There's actually a good bit of decent TV shows on it compared to the start when there was barely anything. Its probably worth having for 6 months anyway to burn through a few series and i presume they'll be adding a bit after summer.

They added Tarantino's The Hateful Eight by the way but you may have to search it (i.e. type it in)

I've just been browsing and they've added a LOT of new shows in the last week or two. Very good selection for the price now (for TV, not so much movies) but still no PS4 support (or Chromecast, but they don't support that in any country.)

I can't remember if I picked it up on another thread on boards but I've downloaded an app called just watch to my phone (android) which is great for showing what's been added to Netflix, amazon, sky go etc each day. Amazon seem to be adding shows on a daily basis over the last few weeks. Sone good choices there now. A few off the top of my head

    Vikings
    The Americans
    Into the badlands
    Outlander
    Sons of anarchy
    Black sails

Yup, I mentioned above. It's actually the only reliable way to find new content as some items just disappear in the app or are grouped in misleading sections. The Hateful 8 is a great example, it should be front & centre but it's buried in drama.

Sometimes though the app gives a false positive, for example it noted Lincoln as the one with Day Lewis but it's some random high brow yoke in the app.

    Onwards and upwards .....

Any chance somebody with an account could check and see if you can watch Unsolved Mysteries(Robert Stack episodes) in Ireland. Don't want to sign up again only to realise I still can't watch it. Cheers!

Yeah, they're there. "Unsolved Mysteries: Original Robert Stack Episodes", 7 seasons.

Is this on American Amazon prime and you're using some hack to watch it or is this on the newly advertised "now available on Ireland" prime? I checked a list on the Irish prime and UM wasn't on it, it's a deal breaker for me! 😂

Also is there a PS4 app way of watching it yet? I'm sure I saw something you can use

They're all available on the Irish one now. Signed up again myself to watch it

    They're on the Irish service.

I found a workaround to get the PS4 app: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057773846
