    Hi all,

My Dad 's home heating system has a Randall/Danfoss 103 manual timeclock and we are looking to swap it for the electronic version the Randall/Danfoss 103E7. However, we may like to control the heating separate from the hot water in the future so are wondering : Can we use a Randall/Danfoss 102E7 on a 103 system without any rewiring etc. We dont want to spend money getting a 103E7 then buying a 102E7 if we can go straight from a 103 to 102E7. We may possibly not go ahead with separating the HW from the heating, but it be more flexible if we got a 102E7. We may in the future also upgrade to Nest thermostats.

Is this possible to have 102E7 on a 103 system?
What positions would the switches need to be in etc etc
Can a Nest thermostat version 3 (HW and Heating controllable) be used as a Version 2 (non HW controllable)?

    Regards

    HPMan
