Hi, having difficulty getting the new eir app to run on my android tv device (mk808b) The app is downloaded, I had logged in, but when i try to open a channel, I am told the the DRM client failed to initialise, and then told that the device is not registered. When I check settings it tells me the device is registered, so I assume it has something to do with the eir app using silverlight instead of html5.

question is, is there an app or plugin i can use to get around this, or am I way off the mark

Exactly the same problem myself. Thought it might be because the box was rooted but I checked & my box isn't rooted. It does say on the site "smartphones & tablets". Poor form if they don't allow us to use it on tv box. Would love to know the reason behind it.

If it's like Sky Go they block it on devices using HDMI output.
