How to get the best out of soundbar set up

Hi Folks, Have a SKY HD box, Xbox one, and a Samsung LCD TV and Samsung Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer. The sound bar has 2 optical and one HDMI input. Currently I have the Sky box and Xbox one both connected to the sound bar with their own individual opitcal cables. Is this the best way of wiring, or would I be better…

Hi Folks,

Have a SKY HD box, Xbox one, and a Samsung LCD TV and Samsung Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer.

The sound bar has 2 optical and one HDMI input.

Currently I have the Sky box and Xbox one both connected to the sound bar with their own individual opitcal cables.

Is this the best way of wiring, or would I be better using the optical output from the tv to the soundbar only.

Does the TV and/or soundbar support ARC (audio return channel)?
