Is a limited comp CI license ok for racing CX or is full comp needed?

    From the CI website

A limited competition licence allows you to compete in all domestic competition except open road races. It replaces the Restricted licence choices and also covers Club Competition. In other words you may use a Limited Competition licence to compete in Track, BMX, Off-Road, Time-Trials, Hill-Climbs, Club Racing, Bicycle-polo and Artistic Cycling. This licence is not specific to one discipline, it covers them all. It does not include Open Road Racing.

Also, are 1 day licenses available?

    Thanks

CX falls under "off-road" and a limited competition licence will suffice.

In terms of one-day licences, I think the general rule is none can be issued after the end of April. I am not aware of any exemption for CX, but others around here will know better

They usually issue 1 day licences for the CX races (Nat champs the exception as full one/Limited comp one needed)
