    Hello,

I need some advice. I suffer from depression and have left the fetac course i was attending. The course wants to receive a letter for stating the reasons i'm not returning. I have no idea what to put in the letter, i certainly don't want to go into details. I have never left a course like this before, does anyone know if it would be possible for my doctor to send them a letter? or has anyone dealt with this before? thanks

Hi. I'm sorry to hear you've having a difficult time. Maybe just say you are leaving the course as it's not suitable for you - either it was too difficult or that now you have more knowledge of the subject it is not something you think that you could make a career of and that you would probably be better off studying a different subject. Remember to thank them for the training you have received so far, please let me know if other courses come up etc be nice and hopefully they will accept the letter as it is without further question.

They just need a letter to justify your dropout to their funding body. It's becoming the norm now.
Write a letter stating that you have health issues currently that mean that you are unable to complete the course and thank them for the place on it. That is all.
