Hi folks, as per title I'm wondering is it possible to pick up a model (OO Gauge) of the old CIE trains?

Yup I have one. Murphy's Model's commission them. Try Mark's Models to see which they currently have as they tend to have different ones in stock depending which models were recently commissioned

The second link appears dead but the exact stock in the first is available.

The lamitate stock coaches can be gotten here: http://www.irishfreightmodels.com/

An expensive and not too good looking A class loco and C class loco can be found here http://silverfoxmodels.co.uk/ir-ie-001-class-a-class-co-co-metropolitan-vickers/

For alternatives you can get 141, 181 and 071 class loco's from Murphy Models from some of the shops and ebay etc in the correct livery. You can also source craven coaches of similar vintage. Lower price and FAR FAR superior quality in every way but still pretty pricey.

For more in depth details I advise you to check out irishrailwaymodeller.com :)

EDIT: link worked. The coaches in the second photo can be found at http://silverfoxmodels.co.uk/2600-class-railcar-aecpark-royal/ but they are expensive and below average looks and quality as per the locos
