Have 2 transfers this week but feel the urge to use it now

You'll probably already have missed out on price rises. You should always aim to use it as early as possible in a week. I've activated mine this week but waited until Sunday so I could watch the Arsenal and United matches. I only lost out on a £0.1m rise on Ramsey so it was worth waiting.

I'm secretly hoping there is some carnage and injuries to big players in the midweek games!

Used mine last night. Slow start to the season and had 5 injuries. Plus 2 or 3 other transfers I needed to make. Couldn't care about making money from it. Just want to get my team set up for how I want it for the next few weeks.

I'm just hoping that if I can hang in there with a respectable score for the next 2 weeks, using it after the break could be the difference, especially with possible injuries/suspensions/loss of form/being dropped

I'm currently £0.4m shy of this team. Hoping I can make some extra cash on Barkley, Boruc and Lovren, although will still likely fall short and have to downgrade Coleman or McGregor.



I really want to get McGregor in though, Hull aren't exactly tight at the back but they kept a cleanie against Norwich and almost another one against Cardiff. He saved a penalty against Chelsea too. The main reason I want him is because he alternates perfectly with Mignolet. Undecided whether this is worth an extra £0.5 though.



I might still hold on to a non-playing sub keeper, downgrade Coleman and upgrade Sturridge to Suarez.

A mate that tops our private league has 325 points and is still sitting on his wildcard... I hope he keeps it up his sleeve for a few months because at present our squads only share 2 players.

I'm hoping to make up the 45 point difference before his WC.

Looking at his team, I just can't believe he's got to that points total.

But it probably highlights a big weakness of mine, that being, I find it very hard to bring in players that I don't feel are good long term prospects even though they are in form.
Yaya, Ramsey and Soldado being the main three that I haven't even given a real consideration to over the first 5 GW's that have all scored well for him.
The bugger still has Anelka, Lescott and McNaughton in his squad.

I played mine and ended up with the team above but Barkley in for Ramsey, Suarez in for Sturridge and Coleman downgraded to Turner. Ended up being a great week to play my wildcard and bagged my 80 points after it, where many people scored 40-ish after taking points hits. Took me from outside the top 500k right up to 130k.

I think most people will have played theirs by now, either after the 1st/2nd week, or when I did it seem to have been the best times. Massive bonus of you are doing well and still have it though! Could be very advantageous if there are a lot of injuries or double game weeks.

I'm still plugging away, 2nd in nearly all of my pay leagues, I can't for the life of me figure out how though considering on paper 5 of my 6 starters are questionable.

Got my captaincy right every week which may have attributed to it.

Wild Card still in my back pocket, was gonna use it just after international break but now, all things considered, I might sit on it for another couple of weeks

I know about the second wildcard. I'm planning on keeping my discretionary one until the latter third of the season when there'll hopefully be some DGWs. I took some hits that have paid off so I think i'll not need to use it anytime soon.

You have to use the January one in well... (how much are the 10 penny bars?:pac:)

The first wild card can be used at any time at all during the season.

Leader of my pay league, on 420, has played and I'm delighted. He has held onto Yaya and Ramsey, I hope this shows a reluctance to let them go do to the value-sales price gap if and when (if I say it enough, it'll happen)
Anyway, that aside, our teams are quite different. I'm happy with mine, lets get closing this 50 point gap.
