Canon EOS 1000D

    Hi all,

    Just looking for a bit of advice about a gift for someone with a Canon EOS1000D w/ standard 18-55 lens. She's a photography fan and I was wondering about adding lenses to this. From seeing her photos recently, there are a lot of sports ones (kids playing football) and I think a lens that would support these would be great. The one thing though is that she has the camera a few years and I'm not sure how long more it'll last. Can anyone recommend a way to build on her current camera, allowing for a possible camera upgrade?
