Going home for the weekend

For those of you who work and/or live away from home, who still goes home at the weekends. I live and work in Dublin with the missus but we head 'down the country' every 2-3 weekends.

This has been going on for about 7 years now and no sign of it to stop soon (I'm 26 :D ). Just wondering do people still do this regularly or am I just a big mammy's boy?

I live and work in the country so I don't have to do the going home to mammy weekends but there are plenty of neighbours whose children (of all ages) come home not just every 2/3 weeks but almost every week.

Some of the lads play for their local teams - all sports - and train midweek where they are working/studying, so they want to come home every weekend.

    You are not alone.

I'm 31 and still head home once a month / every 6 weeks, I work a lot of weekends though.

My brothers who have wives and kids might only get home 3 or 4 times a year, but it's more hassle for them to organise the whole family to go, I'd say they'd head back home more often if they could.
