If fta work fine then its working fine. Are you trying to get you tube and that working? If so make sure you can access network settings and make sure DHCP is selected and that its aquiring an IP address.

As far as im aware you get will only get fta unless you have a subscription card for a provider.

Unless that is your trying to do something else which is illegal and not as simple as plugging it into the broadband.

    Or are you in Australia?

Do you have DHCP enabled on the box?

if your using DHCP you shouldn't need to enter an ip address?

AS said earlier in thread DHCP must be enabled, some of the later firmwares from early 2014 on for the variants of skybox, default setting DHCP off, so as said in networl local settings check DHCP is enabled, no need to manually assign an addy just reboot the box,
after enabling DHCP.Its worth noting that if it's youtube you are concerned about, it won't work with some versions of firmware , as youtube changed security protocols, i believe it was addressed in later firmwares, can't confirm as I haven't used a skybox in a few years now, google their hope page their firmwares will include descriptions on 'fixes ' each one contains,

I have switched from wifi to ethernet cable and the channels are still scrambled. I can get an IP on both and can see my CCam server as online. Worked previously for a year. all i can see are freeview

I have updated the channel list to the latest and have down this over the last year.

    Out of ideas on it

We cant talk about that kind of thing here.

Nobody buys those boxes to watch FTA content.
