Has anyone used Manila Strings before, or been at a wedding / event where they played? What were they like? We're thinking of booking them for our post-ceremony drinks reception, they'd play for three hours; two during the drinks reception and one hour at the start of the dinner, wandering between tables and taking requests.

If anyone has any feedback, I'd really appreciate a PM :)

I don't know anything about them (good or bad) but keep in mind that weddingsonline.ie delete negative comments about their advertisers so you'll only see complimentary things about them there.

    Hey Ionapaul

I was at a wedding last year and they were the highlight of the day, a year later and we still talk about them.

    Best of luck

Ya that bothers me about deleting negative feedback, if people are crap, it should be known! :P

Edit: I'm sure they're not crap!!!!!!!!!!

I seen Tropical Storm at a few weddings and they really worked the crowd well, if Manilla strings are something similar then the should be pretty good.

I had them at my wedding reception they were brilliant. They kept everyone entertained between the church and dinner . Tropical Storm are brilliant too. If you can get either of the band the they are pretty much the same.

Tropical Storm are gone now. Have booked Viva Manila (their replacement band) for my wedding as Manila Strings weren't available that day. Have seen Manila Strings a few times and def recommend them.
