Small SUV, 4.13m long, basically a Renault version of the Juke.
Small engines, emissions as low as 96g, for cheap road tax, nice style too. Ticking few boxes to please the Irish buyer.

    Nice.

The crossover market is starting to get crowded.

    It's a Nissan Juke underneath.

It's quite nice actually, a huge improvement on the Nissan Puke.

Yes but Renault missed the boat by about 2 years on this segment. 6 years on the Qashqai segment despite having a major stake in Nissan and access to their designs. These crossover segments are what saved Nissan from going under in Europe as they are offering very little of anything else. Other manufacturers are launching similar products now despite having to use a blank canvas. I think Renault dropped the ball on this and should have entered the segment sooner given the instant success Nissan had with them. This segment is going to be saturated with offers very soon where the customer will have lots of choice.

    Ouch, forgot that one.
Lack of style and too high co2 emission : that was a failure in Europe. Still being sold in mainland though.
I've heard replacement will be a more global model with variants also replacing also the Qasquai and the US version of it.

This Captur is way more promising though, from European perspective.

I'm with Cian on that one, pass the sick bag. Although I have been driving Renault cars for over ten years (1 megané and 2 scenics) and never had so much as a puncture, I don't think I will be buying that one!!!

I really like it, more so than the new clio. Dash looks better as well, but then again so did the clios in the renders/press release photos. These are the cars that Renault will hope revive the companies fortunes, so it's really depressing when you see that they're raiding the parts bins from 20 year old cars.

I don't get this, it has to be one of the ugliest cars I've seen in a long time.
It looks like they took a last gen Clio and beefed it up a bit.
The Clio was a lovely car, this is terrible.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
