The Elvery's at the Aviva is open today and Monday. Try them and ask if they have any in stock.

It's not open. None of the Elverys have Ulster gear, and if its not in Dawson St it's no where else

Elverys only sell Leinster and Munster. I haven't found anywhere down here that sells ulster stuff :(

Pathetic, isn't it? You'd have no trouble finding All Blacks or Springboks gear in town. But Ulster, god forbid.

    Not really.

I'd say the vast vast majority of people who buy provincial rugby gear in Ireland buy their own provinces. International jerseys have a different appeal.

Shops in Dublin can sell Munster and Connacht gear as there would be a fair few people from Connacht and Munster living up here. I don't know how many Ulstermen live in Dublin but I'd guess it's far less than Munster or Connacht people and that's why the shops don't stock their gear.

I'd bet your bet is wrong, if only based on the census figures for UK nationals in the Dublin area.
In any case, it's neither here nor there. Demonstrably there are plenty of Ulster fans in Dublin, moreso than New Zealanders for example. If the shops won't stock the merchandise, how can they know whether it will sell or not?

Fair enough, I'm basing my opinion on the amount of Ulster, Munster, and Connacht people I've met, worked with, or played rugby with here in Dublin.

The thing about the international jerseys is that everyone would buy them not just Kiwi's or whoever but with provincial gear it's usually just people from that province. Again I'm just basing that on people I know and my own preference.

Since we're speaking anecdotally, I will add that Elvery's are down a good few hundred quid from me this year, since I was unable to buy any Ulster merch for family and friends living abroad. Instead, I've had to mail-order it, which involved getting it sent to an NI address and then forwarded on.
Extremely inconvenient for me and others, and would have been easily resolved if I could have walked into a shop in Dublin and been able to buy the Irish rugby merchandise of my choice.

Elverys sell a lot of Connacht Gear in Dublin, I think the problem is more Kukri than Elverys. Bought a really nice Connacht Hoody for my sis yesterday, but there a solid selection of gear in Dundrum.

Sorry this is a bit late but I was in Elvery's on Nassau St/Suffolk St the week before Christmas and there were loads of Ulster jerseys, scarves, hats etc. So someone's selling them, and someone's buying them.
