Cleaning gas soldering iron

I have a gas soldering iron that now won't even melt the solder on the tip on minimum power, before you could solder with it set to min. There is a small copper yoke inside it with a tiny hole the gas goes through and I have cleaned that by putting it in methylated spirit like they said on the manual but i think the problem is elsewhere. Think it started after i filled her with poor quality butane once or twice from a very old tin.

I did remove some oil from the butane in under that small copper yoke but its hard to get at, would blasting it with carb cleaner, meths or something when its empty do any good to dissolve the stuff that's clogging it or does anyone here know a trick to restore its power? Not a huge problem but I have to refill it a good bit before it's actually empty because it loses power

The iron is an iroda Solderpro 120
