    Hi guys
i am currently on the lookout for an Audi A4, diesel, six speed, leather, and 140bhp if i can find it. 2007 would be the year, as the newer 2008 model is too much for me to spend on the car. i wouldnt mond a 1.9 or 2.0, as long as the 2.0 is a BRE engine, and not a BLB.

not much luck on done deal at the moment, or the past month for that matter..

now im thinking of looking towards the UK, or possibly the north.

firstly, is it worth my while going through the process to get the car i want, (for me the answer is yes) but would the cost of going throught the process make the car more expensive? for example the car below would be suitable but wuld i be better off sourcing the car in the UK, and would the ecomomics of the process cost me less or more?

I have done a bit of looking and thinking, and there are a few things that i want to check: any comments on below are welcome)

i would find a dealer in reasonable distance to hollyhead with the car that i want.
I would need to fly, inspect, and return home. (250 euro)
due to insurance (and yes i have read the thread about tax and NPRS!!) i would require that NVD bring it to baldonnel and i collect from there. (250 euro)

next thing to make it all legal is to bring it to the NCT centre and get it registered and pay VRT.
    aqm i leaving anything out?

I have done it both ways, when living in NI i brought a car from ROI, saved about 2.5k on price of it new in NI.
Two years ago I brought a car from NI to ROI, it was second hand but still worked out about 3k cheaper for the same model.

All the info you need here.
