    Hi

We are thinking of going to 'Q Sat' as our BB coverage here is so diabolical. We just wondered if anyone has any experience of them to relate ?

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

Blogs / Wikis / Social Networks -> Broadband.

Where are you? Is it rural? I'm asking as there may be other options for you.

Satellite should be the last breath when absolutely all other options have been explored. Be sure you know the facts:

    24 month contract
2GB per month usage limit (pittance for a family)
Reselling TV that is already free
    De-installation fee
Not suitable Skype or other Voip (high latency)
No support for Vpn (it's optimised browsing, little else)
Not suitable for gaming (latency again)

I'd suggest anyone stay away from Q-Sat. Their monthly download allowance is shameful in this day and age - the basic package with 2 meg download allowance will be used up within a few days unless you seriously restrict yourself to simple browsing, emailing, etc. But be warned, if you start using youtube, downloading songs, photos (uploading a photo to Facebook, for example, will use up your allowance too. Data is used uploading or downloading).

Look for an alternative if possible.
