Sky - RF2 connection

I have just connected a second TV to the RF2 connection on my Sky HD box.

Whilst the picture is excellent and I can control the Sky box with the Sky link from the second room I find that it is necessary to have the sound turned up to almost 100% on the TV.

The TV is a LG HD ready set whose sound volume for other set top boxes and direct aerial connections does not have to be turned up.

Is this normal for an RF connection. The connecting cable is about 15 metres in length and as mentioned the picture is perfect.

Verso it's not just you, i had a sanyo tv in the bedroom connected to a normal sky+ box via an F140 amplifier connected to the RF2 outlet on the sky+ box.

then i switched out the sky+ box for a skyHD box, and not only did i experience the same having to turn the volume level up almost half way, but also i've had to disconnect the F140 amplifier because it thought i was pressing buttons twice, like say changing the channel to 150 would show 115 and then "channel not available".

Thanks steveon and xsiborg for your comments.

At least I know it is not just me or my equipment that is at fault. Perhaps Sky might prefer us to pay extra for a separate box in other rooms.
