Sony Vaio VGN-NS10L Black Screen.

Wondering if any of you nice folks can help me, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS10L laptop, and for a good while now it has been broken, the screen, is black.

I tried the power trick of taking out the battery an AC cord and pressing power for 30 seconds, and it worked suprisingly for a good 5 mins, an then the screen went again, an now wont come back on, I can see the screen behind the black screen, the faint outline of stuff, and I'm currently using it through a VGA cable to my TV. When I close down the screen it lights back up again, but then within a few seconds it starts to flash and goes off again.

Anyone any ideas of what I can do? Or do I just need to get another screen?

I'm not mad tech savy or anything so if ya know what it could be, can ya explain it in simple terms so that I can try fix it myself? If possible.

    Thanks folks.
