My fiancé just got a sky+ box with HD. Someone told him about calibrating his tv (a Phillips flatscreen) to get the best picture from the new HD channels.
Had a quick search on the internet but couldn't find anything.
What do we do?! Many thanks in advance.....

usually turn down the contrast for a couple of hundred hours (for plasma)

have a look here for the model number

I'm sure someone has posted basic calibration settings ..
