Help needed with Blackboard. Please.

    I am having difficultly uploading an assignment on to blackboard. The assignment is required to be in either the format of a Word or Pdf file, when I choose either type of file from my documents; I've created the assignment in both formats, and attach it appears in the field as expected, however when I click submit a window appears alerting me to 'please enter a valid file'

    This is the first time I've tried to upload this way so any help is appreciated.

    Is this the digital dropbox you're using?

    Not sure. I am clicking on assignments tab on the left hand side, then the main window displays the 'upload assignment' page;

    Upload Assignment: Ecology Assignment

    Name

    I've always used the didital dropbox.

    Under course tools, add file, send file.

    I am not around the campus tomorrow, but thank you very much for your kind offer of help. As I mentioned earlier the Helpdesk page seems to be down at the minute, or several weeks from the information I can gather, bit odd for a I.T. support department!. So I have taken down their phone number and I'll give them a call tomorrow. I've tried again since my OP, and still the same problem, the upload function just doesn't seem to be recognising my assignment file as a valid file. The required assignment file format should either be in Word or PDF, I tried to upload it in both but to no avail, so hopefully they can resolve the problem. I am not well up to the auld computer, so I'd say it only a minor issue.
