Insulated slab

    Hello,
    Getting ready to slab the inside walls of my new build.

    I have used 60mm kingspan in the cavity walls.
    Trying to determine whether to go for a 52.5mm or a 62.5mm insulated slab?

    Will going for the 62.5mm slabs make a huge difference in the house?
    There is a significant difference in the price..

    I will also be scratchcoating the walls before applying the slab

    Also, will the slab need to be foilback if i scratch the walls, as the foil will probably tear when the slab is applied to the scratchcoat?

    I've read a few times on here that as a rule of thumb the insulation slab should contain insulation no more than 50% the thickness of the insulation in the cavity or you could run the risk of condensation and mould.Some of the more experienced guys on here will be able to give you the full details on this.
