you'd probably need to buy one of each, thieves nowadays would even steal one of the wheels if it doesnt have a lock on it

Read the user review of the chain lock, may not be such a good buy, false economy and all that.

Look like they wouldn't stand up to the €7.99 ALDI bolt cutter

cable locks are handy for locking your front wheel in conjunction with a bigger lock for the backwheel / frame

Reserved one of these cable locks online in the Naas store and when I went to collect it, it was gone:(. They weren't too sure what had happened to it, maybe stolen they said, they didn't seem too sure or bothered.
Has anyone had a similar experience when reserving discounted items from them? I have reserved goods from Argos/Woodies etc. and have never had any problems. This is the first time using Halfords reserve and collect 'service'.

I used to with the 2m lock above for Halfords Liffey Valley. When I got there, they had no lock and offered me an equivalent. Heard to tell how equivalent it was as the details on the site aren't too detailed for the 2m lock, but the one they offered was 30 something yoyos, so worth paying the 7.50.

You should have kicked up a fuss considering you made the effort of reserving and going into the store. They should have offered you something.
