hey, I was like you and wanted to do Psychology in nuim but didnt get the points for it. I ended up taking Arts and picked Psychology as one of my 3 modules. They take a number of people who do psychology through arts into 2nd year (Think its 30) based on your grades in Psych over the first year, At which case you drop your other two subjects and pursue psychology alone. If you dont't make the grade or opt out you take your other two subjects in 2nd year. I found that those that really wanted to do psycology in 2nd year knuckled down and got the places available. I found howverer, that it was very science orientated and was at least as much work as my other 2 subjects combined (suppose thats their way of getting rid of those not truly interested/prepared to do the work) anyways I would suggest going about it this way as I found psychology not at all what I expected, (it's not all Freud and experiments, its a lot of tedious reading and writing). At least with this option you can decide for yourself whether you like psychology and want to work hard to continue studying it (Based on the xmas results I was still in a position to be offered second year and i didn't put major work in, just did the minimum necessary, After xmas I really found it tedious and failed one of the modules, only passing by compens8ion. They won't allow you to continue to second year if you fail a module btw). Or like your other two subjects better and would like to study them, (i'm doin eng nd geo nd they're handy enough). and you have the benefit of only needing to get the points needed for an Arts degree not a science one) Good luck with your results
