This is a major long shot but it is wrecking my head so going to give it a try!

I am trying to find the name of a song that was played in the POD, probably 1995-1997. It was always played, to the best of my memory, after the main club was finished. About 10-15 minutes after the lights came on the DJ usually came back for one last tune.

It's almost impossible to describe in words other than to say at the start of the song there are bursts of chords from an instrument that sounded like a Harp. The bursts got steadily longer. I have a vague recollection that the song might have had a French name but that could be way off.

It's probabe that the song was a favourite of one of the resident dj's of the time and it was his signature song to finish up on.

If you have any ideas let me know as I'll check them all out.............

    Cheers

For those interested the song was Vallée de Larmes, both Scooter and Rene et Gaston did it.

OP, from your description I can't help you but if you can expand a bit more....maybe!

There is song which was in around the time of Sides etc. There were a couple of mixes of it I think. It was circulated on a couple of different mix CD's/tapes at the time It started off with a piano intro which ran on for a bit, then a beat kicked in, the lady singing was kind if Heather Small(ish), gentle start from her then building to a crescendo with a couple of piano, drum and bass accompanied solo's thrown in there....

The lyrics are probably wrong (I was most likely drunk at the time):

    Piano start gently
    In kicks the beat
    Piano picks up a bit
She starts singing (something along the lines of..) "Under a spotlight, lying deep inside your love....."
She carries on and the main lyric or line is "Mainline to your love......" (or something similar)
There are a couple of piano solo's thrown in

It is a really upbeat sort of garage/dance type song, definitely not heavy trance or anything like that.

This has been driving me nuts for years and I can't find it on the web. If anyone knows any DJ's or anything like that who can sort this out, I'll buy you a pint.

    Cheers.
