Printer not working

I have a Lexmark X1190 printer that I am trying to install on my laptop(windows vista). I installed it but it wont print and now I cant uninstall it. I think I need to download a driver from the Lexmark website but to do that I have to uninstall the printer.

I get an error message when I try to do this. It says that the printer is in use and I cant uninstall it until its finished. I have tried cancelling the documents I was trying to print but 1 document wont cancel. I think if I can cancel the document I will be able to download the driver and the printer will work but how can I cancel the document.

Anyone know or will it work?

Try turning off the Print Spooler service before uninstalling the drivers and then deleting the printer .
