    Hi Guys!

    I'm looking for some help.

I'll be going from Kilkenny to Fermanagh for work using public transport some time at the start of december (I'm on a learners permit :( ). I'v tried to find out how best to get there from kilkenny and it seems no train service to Fermanagh so I'm finding it difficult. Can anyone help/recommend whats the best way to get there?

Ulsterbus, either via Belfast or via Monaghan I'd guess.

Other possibility is you may be able to get a bus to Derry or Donegal that drops off near where you want to go. Where exactly are you looking to go?

In the old days, I drove in the North on a provisional but I'd never recommend it to anyone else... you're most likely not insured and never know what the PSNI might do to ye.

Bus to Dublin then bus to Enniskillen (http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1222100493-30.pdf)

you really should specify where you are going to in Fermanagh. If you're going to south Fermanagh (Derrylin, Teemore and down there) then you can avoid going to Enniskillen.
If not then you'll be changing in Enniskillen.
Lucky for you the local bus services in Fermanagh are better than you find in the south so pretty much all of the county is covered to some extent.

Theres a journey planner on the Ulsterbus website which can tell you the best connection (Dublin Busaras is also there as a starting option).

I'd seriously doubt any taxi would take anything but Sterling. Some shops may accept Euro if you're buying a lot (e.g. not a breakfast roll).

They'll want Sterling. Any Irish bank ATM card will work in BOI/Ulster/First Trust ATMs even if you don't even have a Cirrus/Link card, and theres usually very little fees for doing this.

Some of them probably will, but not necessarily at a good rate, you are not the first person to arrive off a bus. But assuming that no 2 is at the town end of the Sligo road you could probably walk unless you have lots of gear.
