To be honest, i doubt that playing a video file on loop for a few hours is going to fix a dead pixel problem!! Note aswell that the video is almost 3 years old. I say dont waste your time

My boss bought a Hanns.G TFT monitor months ago. After a while it developed a 'dead' pixel. He was quite happy to live with it but while at a tradeshow last week he jokingly mentioned it to a rep from Hanns.G. The chap told him that not all pixels are actually dead and to rub it with a towel.

Surprisingly this worked for my boss. Dunno if it'll work for you OP but I thought it was worth mentioning.

That video can help. As previous poster mentioned, not all pixels are dead and may just be stuck so that video may help. If not, you can massage the stuck pixel with your knuckle and that might free it.
