    Hey there everybody.
I'm going to be heading state side come September and am considering buying a 3g Iphone while there. I was just wondering how i'd go about it, would i be signing into a bill paying contract if i were to walk in to an Apple shop? Or is there a pay as you go system over there?
I know it's a bit of a silly question but it's something i've always wondered with people buying iphones over there.
    Cheers.
    Alan,

There is no way to buy a 3g iPhone without signing into a contract with AT&T. New procedure for the 3g iPhone means you MUST sign up to the contract and activate the iPhone in-store.
