I want to set up point to point links

    I have broadband at A

I want to do 3 point to points from A to B, C & D to get internet access at B C & D. In future, I will also be putting cameras at various locations viewable at others and on the web.

I've read through here. 5 GHz seems to be the way to go. Not long ago it was 2.4 GHx. So how safe is my investment in 5 GHz kit? Will it be obselete any time soon?

I'm thinking of getting 6 of these.
Is this the way to go?
    What else should I consider?
What type of router should I consider?
How will I make this network secure?

I have line of sight over distances up to 2 km.

First question: What are the distances from B, C & D to A?
You might also want to have a look at these: http://www.wi-pipe.com/nanostation5-p-314.html
