    tips and recommendations please?

11 nights, 1 night in pisa, train to florence for two nights and we have chosen hotels for these but are unsure of the next steps. Want to spend two or three nights in venice which we fly out of and I believe lake garda is beautiful so 2/3 nights there also. Anywhere else worth visiting in between? Milan, Verona etc? Would trains suffice for transport or car hire? I've driven in sardinia before so I would chance hiring. Any hotels recommendations appreciated also.
    Thanks.

oh enjoy!! was in venice & florence last year & just loved them. Would reccomend booking the museums in florence. We contacted our hotel & they booked them for us as there will be huge queues & it is too hot to stand in the sun. Also did a bus tour of tuscany & went wine tasting. It really is amazing countryside. We travelled by train & found it fine. Went to pisa & lucca also. There are loads of great towns such as siena & san gimigiano( not sure if spelling correct) in tuscany. Im sure you could stay in them for a couple of nights too. Venice is so romantic . I would reccomend a day trip to the other islands too. I have not been to lake garda but its meant to be beautiful so i would definetely take it in on way to venice.
