    VGA (15 pin D-sub)

This means it can be hooked up to a laptop and used as a 26" monitor right?

Awesome.. because normally you have to pay extra for the remote control.

Sometimes standard definition on a LCD screen looks pants.

If your reception/picture quality on chorus/NTL is bad, on this TV it will look worse.

400quid, not bad, haven't seen any reviews.

for an extra 100 euros you would get the excellent 32 mirai hd lcd in extra-vision for 499 euros, just bought one and gotta say its a beauty well impressed, good value for the price and i hooked up the xbox 360 to it via component cable and its stunning.

Id agree I had the old version of that TV and it was good just replaced it with a bigger screen and it was a good screen I think extra vision may give vouchers as well with this offer,

I think the viewing angles would also suggest that this TV uses a TN panel, which is probably to be expected at this price. Would agree that the mirai is the better option if your not stuck for the space or the €100.

Ok so, the general opinion is that it's not a great buy.
Any recommendations on a good 26" lcd for around that price? (32" is too big for the bedroom)

    Thanks!

Bought one a few months ago for €460 and talked someone else into buying one from Tescos last week (€499). So far i'm very pleased with it for the money.

My take on it is that this is a good TV to buy for the moment. Then in 12-18 months time, when the whole HD thing has settled down and all the new tvs are at the higher end of HD and not so pricey, then can upgrade and use Mirai as second set in another room.

I dont see how people think 400 euro for these horrifically bad Aldi / Lidl 26" TVs is good Value... They all have terrible Contrast Ratio and Viewing Angle and you will be sorry you bought it as soon as you see it in action...

You can do much better if you just hold out until you have a bit more cash....

I got a Mirai in Tescos recently during their 30% back promotion, so the TV only cost me €350.

Excellent TV all round and looks great. Comes with a 3 year warranty BTW.
