In the states, cNet reports a 40GB version going for $300, which works out to be about €200.
    The good:
Swanky design with quiet operation; all games in high-definition; PSP-like user-friendly interface; plays high-def Blu-ray movies in addition to upscaling standard DVDs; built-in Wi-Fi; 40GB hard drive; online play is free; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; free online gaming service.

    The bad:
Compelling exclusive games are still few and far between; doesn't play PS2 games; PlayStation Home and rumble controller not available until 2008; a USB port on the back would've been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live.

    The bottom line:
While Sony has cut a few corners to get its entry-level PlayStation 3 below $400, it's still a great package for the money--so long as you can live without backward compatibility for PS2 games and are willing to wait several months for the more promising exclusive titles to hit store shelves.

Basically, the lowest most minimum version... If this comes out over here before Xmas, they may actually sell quite a few.

This already came out here over a month ago, but you'll be paying €400 for it here. If you can get it from the US for $400 and get by customs with it then it'd be a nice saving

****, your right. My bad (saw it in a review, not into the PS3 thing myself).
