Don't get too excited tho, it's only beta, it's missing a ton of features, and there's no ipoker support yet.

Holdem Manager Beta 1 is now ready for download!

First a bunch of disclaimers... This is the very first public release of a brand new program so expect bugs!!! Some of the things that are missing include:

    No HUD
    No Replayer
No Income Tab that combines cash with tourneys and rakeback etc

These are all being worked on but I don't have definite dates yet for any of them. In addition to this there will be bugs: the software very well may crash on you, some tabs may look half finished (most likely because they are half finished), some hands will report as errors when they should not or even import incorrectly, there is very little documentation and in general it may look like the software is not ready for "prime time". Well that's because it is beta release #1.

New sites will be coming but you'll need to be patient for a while - I need to get the program to a point where it is all running well and then I'll be very aggressively adding new sites.

The HMSF format is in its early stages and will be updated although it is reasonably close to being final. The database will change - not only between now and the official launch but there's a pretty high chance that at some point during the beta I'll be asking you to start a new database due to tables being added / modified. So, just realize that before you import 10 million hands.

You need the .NET Framework 2.0 if you don't already have it.

    .NET 2.0 Framework

You need PostgreSQL if you don't already have it - instructions here:

    PostgreSQL Setup Guide

Holdem Manager Beta 1 Download (2 MB):

    Download Holdem Manager Beta 1

If the download becomes slow then mirrors will be opened but hopefully everything is ok since it is a relatively small file.

ok, have at it! I'll be checking the forums in an hour or two and try to deal with any immediate issues if/when they come up. If problems do come up just try to be patient - I will get them all fixed.

There's a video for getting started:

I'm waiting on PostgreSQL to finish downloading, so i haven't used it yet, but it looks pretty slick.

Can someone summaraise in 19 words or less what this does?

in less than 19 words...it's basically just a better version on pt+pahud.

There's far more stats to look at, including 3/4/5betting stats and stuff. and you can filter hands so u can look at all the times u 3bet 67s vs a co raise flopped an oesd on an a-high board 120bbs, turned a flush draw and missed the river or w/e.

the hud isn't out yet, but it shows way more stats like vpip/pfr by position and you can even create your own.

there's all sorts of different reports you can run and again you can create your own

plus importing hands is way way faster than pt, doesn't hog your system, and going through the database is effortless too.

It's probably been a bit over hyped, I mean it does have all these amazing features, but most people will still probably just look at "Oooh I'm up x amount at xbb/100" and review their big hands, so it's probably not worth their while to get it. But it does allow you to study players games and your own really deeply if u want.

I haven't really used it much since it doens't support where I'm playing atm, but once it does I could see myself really looking at the stats in depth, like the %3/4/5bet pf and the % fold to 3/4/5bet stuff is gonna be really useful imo. And the pahud showing vpvip/pfr by position is something I've wanted for ages, along with all the other stats.

The beta's working fine for most people, although some had problems due to regional settings or something, i didn't really pay much attention to it. It worked fine for me, but I'd still wouldn't rely on just it to keep track of everything yet.

anyway, I really like it, and can't wait to see the finished product, I think the beta's worth having a look at.

This thing looks really good. It's sparked PT and PAHUD into life as well. They're adding in 3 betting and stuff like that, trying to speed it up as well. Poker players are definitely going to be the winners in all this.

Pity there are no plans for an Omaha version.

Sounds cool, even at the 50NL there is quite a few players i come across on a daily basis and usually on several tables (Probably following me around:D ) so this could be used to get detailed notes and spot patterns as i often miss alot of action while multitabling and u can keep fcuk all notes on ipoker anyway. Im not going out of my way to get in pots with these people as alot of them are half decent but its inevitable i will and it cant hurt to have the extra information, im sure the people who are able to write there own forumulas and stats will be the people that will get the most from this.

Up to the last few days he said hed give a launch day for the full version in the next couple of weeks so i dont think well be seeing the HUD too soon as hes trying to iron out bugs first. In fairness id rather wait and have a bugfree/less buggy version. Im downloading it at the moment seens its now ipoker compliant and ill let you know what i think. Hopefully it will help me spot weaknesses im mine or opponents games and im especially looking forward to 3betting stats, as this is something i badly need to look at.
