just wondering if anyone had had any experiances trying to get 3v to work on e bay, thinking about buying a new phone off there cause its miles cheaper than in the shops(yea its a guy with loadsa feedback pay pal and cheap shipping before you all jump on it). Anyway i could always rob someones credit card and pay em but 3 would be easier if it worked so basicly, does it?

I presume you're going to use the 3 V voucher with a paypal account? I would not recommend buying anything on ebay using cheque, postal.money order or by providing your credit card details (even if using a virtual card) to the seller.

Bear in mind that if you use a 3V voucher in conjunction with paypal and your transaction has to be refunded/cancelled at a later date money cannot be transferred back to the voucher already used.

    Good luck.

depends on the seller i guess
some sellers have proper businesses which can accept cc straight away.
However ye make sure you dont leave it till the expiry date of ur voucher in case
u need money to be refunded.
just a note if money are refunded to you when the card is still active, they will show up after 3-4 days

3V is known to work for some people but not others.

I have used 3V for the last 6 months with my paypal account for buying and selling. The only thing is with it is that you invariably end up with a small amount of yo-yos left on it. I.E. E2.67 and to claim it back it costs E2.50 so I don't bother. But yes it is a good system and works for me. If you pay with your paypal account any refunds can be done through that and not onto your 3V card.

The last time I signed into the website to check my balance they were running a competition to win €100. All you had to do was type in the last 3 digits of a current voucher, then complete the tie-breaker. So I thought what the hell, and typed something like '3v lets me get all my xmas presents quickly, securely and conviently' and surprise got an email saying I had won!

Now I wasn't sure if I had actually won, but as they sent it to my
registered email address, and called me by name, I thought it could be
genuine. I did the I.P. checks I know of and it checked out as far
as I could tell. They said I will recieve my voucher soon in the post and
    the security details by sms.

About 2 hrs later I got the details by SMS and the voucher arrived on 28th Dec. It was actually bought in Capel Street on the 22nd! So bought some stuff from eBay including a iPod, parafoil kite, 2 memory cards for my phone and a mini CCTV camera.
