Lidl Comag SL55: Adding satellites

After a lot of fruitless searching, here's my question...

How on earth can I add a satellite to the list I get when I press the SAT button on the remote of a Comag SL55?

So far I have added channels by first finding the satellite with a preset channel, then looked for the one I wanted. Thing is I don't have any channels in the satellite I'm looking for (Eutelsat 2W 16E). It's very easy to delete satellites form the list, but not the opposite. If I select Edit Transponder List, I get this and many other satellites listed, which I can rename, edit, add, and delete... I added a new one with the transponder I want, but it won't come up in the list!

Don't see how I can blindly point the dish and then do searches until I find the sat... Perhaps I should use the sat-finder (never used it before)? I suppose it will beep when I find a satellite signal no matter which sat I have selected in the receiver... Is the Eutelsat 2W signal strong enough for an 80cm dish? I'm looking for the channel Sitel by the way...

    Cheers

On my Palcom DSL4 which looks like it was made in same factory you can't add satellites directly. They are added by two methods:

    1) PC cable and PC software (free download.) I believe this exists for SL55 and SL65

2)OTA upadate, Usually a specific transponder and PID on Astra @ 19E. You need a full box reset/erase afterwards or newly downloaded transponders and satellite definitions may not appear. This erases any channels or Transponders you have added.

If you are on a fixed dish it does not really matter which satellite name you pick, you can manually tune more transponders. You don't need to add a satellite to use on not on list. Just pick one you will never otherwise use and add the missing transponders.

If you are on Motorised GOTOx / USALS type software and moving dish, then you really need to connect to PC to add a missing satellite.
