This is probably the wrong place to put this thread - But anyway - :D

I'm with permanent tsb bank - Can I transfer money from my account to someone else's online or do I have to go into the bank and do it manually ?

I've heard of ppl sending it online, but is it only with some banks ?

yeap you can transfer online, all you need is their sort code and bank account number. I've done it with AIB a good few times, no problems at all.

Oh cool - Are you with AIB or did you send the money to a AIB account ?

I've only heard of AIB doing this - I'm just wondering if permanent tsb does it online ?

    Thanks for the reply - BoB_BoT :D

I've transferred from Ulster Bank to others (can't remember which) using online banking.

As BoB_BoT said, all you need is the bank sort code and account number. I would be very surprised if TSB/IP online banking didn't offer this facility.

I'm with TSB and from what I can see you can only transfer funds between your own accounts or to the accounts nominated in the pay bills section. In any case you need to ring the telephone banking number to set up any new billing accounts. Maybe the same is true for the Transfer funds option, ask them. At least they are very friendly and helpful on the phone, even if their Internet banking is quite basic.

    Cheers

Yeah I use the Open24 aswell with TSB and its great. I have all the house bills (about 5) in my name and I pay them all on that every week and the transferring funds between accounts is also simple.

Yeah I find them friendly when I ring them from time to time ...

I sent them an e-mail about an hour ago asking them about transferring funds to another persons account & I also asked them why can't I view my permanent tsb credit card online and said that the AIB have this feature !

    Here's a demo of it - http://www.aib.ie/24demo
