    hey folks,

    just wondering if anyone here is a physics graduate, and if so, what are they working at?

    graduating soon myself in applied physics and electronics, just trying to get an idea of where in the hell to even look for any sort of work, or get some experience at least in some form of relevant field.

    Graduated in 2000 from UCC in Physics. There were 8 in the class and this is the breakdown

    1 - Teaching in Secondary school
    1 - Masters in Multimedia, now a games developer
    1 - Worked for Eircom, now a database developer
    5 - Assorted PhDs in Trinity, UCC and Cambridge

    Me - Unix/Oracle Developer.
    1 - Owns and runs call center staff training company
    1 - Dropped out of PhD - now MIA
    3-5 Others Random IT professions

    1 - Scraped out with a pass. Financial analyst for PwC - has more money than god.
    1 - Last heard of collecting parking fee's in a Marks and Sparks car park.

    working as project leader software company
    most working in intel/hp/analog type places
    several working in IT/telecommunciations jobs nortel/eircom/software consultancy
    a good few PhDs in research
    and 1 or 2 did accountancy afterwards!!
