Went 2-0 in unranked games so gave the Championship a go. Now 5-0 in all. This is fun

Lads any tips for getting out of a thai clinch? just got absolutely mauled twice tonight from it and couldnt do anything!!

In other news Jacare is an absolute beast! In the purple devision now, managed to get a few subs for the first time. Really satisfying!

As soon as someone gets you in a thai clinch hold r2 to block the knees coming. Straight after a block, quarter circle to transition out and keep pressing l3 to escape. If you can escape then hold r2 and away from oponent. This will block him trying to get back to thai clinch. As soon as transition is blocked, hammer l3 to escape.

Maybe it was a glitch or something but thats exactly what i was doing, but i the knees just kept raining in for a good minute then i got KO'd, strange enough like! Happens the odd time if i get caught in side control, its like my fighter just isnt responding!

Ah okay yeah dunno why that happens. I've done that to about 3 people now hitting them with constant knees couldn't understand why they weren't blocking.

Also happens me in full mount, holding r2 but my guy lies there taking shots like an eejit.

10th fight of purple season, was getting the promotion but needed the win for the belt. He was zombie I was edgar. Split decision we wins even though all my stats were better than his except ground passes.sickened.

1st fight of brown season I go cheesy and pick cruz only to come up against bruce f×cking lee!!! Turned out well though, knocked him out in the first round.

2nd fight I was alexis against rousey. I was messing her up on the feet but she got me down, into full mount and kept me there for 3 rounds. I couldn't escape, I could major transition out but she would be straight back in. I was blocking her transitions with the right direction but she just went through them.

Feck this, picking champs from now on!

Gave it one more go, came up against jones who swung for the fences and when he was completely gassed, he ko'd me through a block. Just lovely.

I hate the Champion pickers. Was fighting jones and all he kept doing was countless spinning body kicks. He took me down then stood back up and dived on me again with a punch and continued that for about 5 mins and nothing I could do to stop it!

I was doing really well, won every fight in the White Belt division and then moved up to Blue Belt. That's when I discovered that some guys just like to do the same technique over and over and over. I was against Jose Aldo and he just get throwing spinning body kicks. Just spinning body kicks. Over and over and over!

I kept timing him and was picking him apart on the feet and even rocked him at one point. Then he caught me with one of the kicks, instantly rocked me, and with another couple of kicks there was a TKO! Same happened in the next fight except it was against Jon Jones.

Pretty annoying!

Yupp!! Absolute f×ucking eejits. All they care about is there record, not actually having a proper fight, its pretty sad. I actually want to go back to white belt, brown belt is just ridiculous.

Its pretty annoying, they know a few solid kicks from the likes of Aldo will have you crumpled over in a heap so they just spam the move and I find no matter how much you try avoid it and step around it a lot of them will get you in the end because they just keep at it. Pretty annoying, I do my best to parry it and get a few punches to the head in then take them down and try continue the damage to the head there. I find a lot of times they have no ground game and you can keep them there and posture up and throw in some punches, transition to side mount and do the same and keep the process going. Play them at their own game!

How do you posture up ? I can figure it out for the life of me !!

Your stamina needs to be pretty high. When it is, you just press up on the L stick and voila!

You can only posture up from certain positions though

Its either R1 + Punch or R2 + Punch

Hold R2, press R1..double tap L2, rotate R3 3/4 anticlockwise then press triangle..that will get you one elbow..repeat for more

Was fighting this English chav online yesterday with his mic on. Every time I'd hit him clean in the stand-up, he'd shout abuse, so I decided it would be funny to take him down and GnP for 3 rounds. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. Non-stop elbows from side control, and he had no idea how to get out, all while he was shouting at me, telling me he was going to "fcuking kill you, innit"

I've already said this way back in the thread, but anybody on Xbox that fancies a fight later tonight or tomorrow? Finally had my first few online fights, and they went alright. Would prefer to have a normal fight with someone rather than some of the nonsense ones you come across randomly.

Then both fighters can pick a time between themselves when they are online;, say within a week, and post results here. All non ranked games in case anyone worried about stats.

Sounds good, I think the following rules would make it a good, fair competition.
Best of 3 fights
No champs
No created fighters
Different fighter for every fight maybe?
You all let me win.

Having ran the last tournaments ( this is BUFC3 ahem) I would say a week is too long a gap. People loose interest. 2-3 day gap max. Results posted and next fights organised. Obviously now with video etc fights can be recorded for any issues but id hope people would be sporting enough to not need it. Possibly best of 3 for the first round fights and then 1 fight per round after that.

For fighters and divisions since its best of 3, 1 person hosts and picks division, then other hosts and picks. 3rd fight always heavyweights or something like that. No fighters over 92 overall.

In later rounds it will be hosts choice. Host picked at random when doing draw.

I think 92 and under is going a small bit too far, considering 70 percent of the fighter have ridiculously high ratings. Maybe just no champs, no Anderson Silva and leave it there?

Champs arent necessarily the best in their division so imo its not enough to just say no champs. Theres plenty of fighters under 92 and it makes it a good honest fight.

Checking the fighter ratings, I think we will have to say no champs and then a select other few like mendes, bendo, gsp etc. And then it might get messy on who will decide who can be picked?

Nope, not yet. I'm expecting a 3 legend fighter pack to follow for a few quid. I might give TJ a go just to whoop Barao a few times. No interest in using Woodley or Mizugaki. I haven't played this in about 3 days, must throw it on again tonight.

That is except for the muppet i played earlier. Fight starts and he says 'what up' in a deep african american voice, i say not much. With that i get in close and after 4-5 punches drop him again. So i speak up and say whos winning? Whos the pussy? Shes like wtf, whats he saying. Umm nothing, so im just laughing and i say cmon you need to go clean up the place lets get it over with. Up he gets and comes in again raging now swinging for the fences. 1 parry and then its good night Irene. Down he drops and fight over. Its the one time playing i wanted to just send a guy a load of abuse in messages after a fight!

I'll be on tonight handing out a few ass batin's!

I've come up against a few loud mouth dopes talking $hit, couldn't find the mute button so just turned down the telly volume and finished em off quick, they tend to be the punch spammers and are usually useless.

I know I got a mic with the ps4 but dunno where it is, will have to try root it out.

Anyway, what's the story on what fighters to pick. Will we just say 'No Champs, Anderson or Caf's' and see how it goes?

I still think no one rated over 93 allowed. Look at the roster, its about 2-3 fighters per division only. It gets rid of the overpowered spammy fighters and makes it even. Dont see why anyone thinks its too many unless they only use the top 2-3 rated fighters all the time which imo are all over powered.

Obviously no CAFs too.
