Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Go - really is time to go and see a doctor.

I'm in bits this morning, back and hip worse than last night, but was kinda expecting it, so not too bad. In work, despite being on holidays, and actually getting stuff done, unlike yesterday, where I was going around in a daze for a few hours

I'd be the same, I don't mind tiny ones. If they're any bigger than a 20c coin I have to catch it in something. I'm not really squeamish but there is one thing I hate and that's
those little white maggots that live on dead tissue... I had to flush lives ones out of a massive wound on a cat one day and I felt like my skin was crawling. They were still wriggling in the sink!

ugghhhhhhh shudder. The sight of maggots repulses me. The last time I saw one was the day of my Dad´s wake - one literally fell out of a wall I was standing next to. I was a mess after that - tears, shakes, I couldn´t stand near a wall for a good hour (which was difficult indoors! :pac:) Anyway, I´m sad because I forgot a friend´s birthday. Things have been odd between us for the last year, we´ve become distant, despite my efforts. Just hope she gives me the chance to make it up to her. Bummer :(

I opened a bin at work in Toronto once, 35 degree heat, and
about 100 maggots were wriggling around on top of a bin bag
. They don't bother me too much, the 20 flies that flew out at me sent me screaming.

do you work where I work :pac:

working with the public is in general a horrible experience, i cant fathom how people are so lazy when it comes to stuff, to me ringing a call centre for help is a last resort not a first one. but I take calls from people who literally ring in every week, sometimes 2-3 times a week with simple things a 2 second google search would solve, or if you i dunno, tried to do it yourself? a woman was roaring at me one day as she was on hold for 10 minutes, all she wanted was to turn on the bluetooth on the phone, it was under settings, bluetooth, on/off. "ye make people wait ages" yeah because of people like you wasting our time!

I really should write a book, i have enough material by now :pac:

Haha, wow, can almost feel the anger seething through your post! I worked in a bar many many years ago and could never quite understand how some people were so stupid but still managed to get out and about. At least in a bar you could nip out the back and have a stiff drink if things got really bad - I can't imagine you can do that in a call centre :)

I've been horrifically sick today. I stuck out college (thank CHRIST I didn't have too many classes!) and came home, lying in bed now and kinda drugged up but I feel a good bit better so I might have a nap soon.

I'm in such a weird mood. I want to cry, I wish I knew I would be left entirely alone for maybe twenty minutes or half an hour just so I could cry and then I know I'd feel better. I have this odd tightness in my chest and it's like a tension that I want to relieve. Things are so weird at the moment, everything is so up-in-the-air and elusive or something. Last night we all stayed in my friend's house and had a sleepover, watched movies, ate junk and chatted and I felt so utterly disconnected from everything. They're not going on erasmus so they had to chose their subjects for next year (in first and second year there is no choice at all and in third and fourth year almost entire freedom of choice, so it's a novel concept!) and the past few days was filled with that kind of thing, it made me feel so left out. I know it's not at all intentional and they don't mean anything bad by it, but they're always making plans for things they'll do next year and I know I won't be there. It feels as though when I come back, they'll have moved on completely. I wish other people from the immediate friend group were going away, me being the only one is just weird. And I know the other girl going to Paris is a nice girl, perfectly pleasant, but she's not particularly friendly and it's becoming clearer that she isn't very interested in being friends with me really. I'm terrified next year will be horrifically lonely and that would be bad enough in and of itself but living in Paris is my dream and if it turns out to be a disappointment it'll be especially crushing.

And yesterday in the library I saw X really briefly (he didn't see me) and he looks like he's under a serious amount of pressure. We have a study break before exams so next week if I see him, even if one of us is only on the way in or whatever I'm going to ask him for lunch and chats. Normally I'd be like "oh I hope he's okay" and worry a bit but I can't shake the feeling that there's something more going on with him and he might need to talk. And at the same time I don't want to be annoying him or putting him in awkward/uncomfortable positions.

Oh! And on Monday night my team won the moot and I got really good feedback so I'm happy about that. It counts as coursework towards my worst subject so I'm a little less stressed about that now :)

I knew it didn't go particularly well, and I wasn't expecting good news,I'm just annoyed at myself for blowing a really good opportunity!

I suppose I'll learn from the experience, but that's about all I can say..

My writing is going well, one of my characters has a ****ty life though and I feel wretched for her. I have to remember that a) she's not real and b) I did this to her. Oy vey!

My sister is looking at buying a house I had fallen in love with. Can't complain really though- she has money and is in the position to buy it- I'm broke.
Still it was a lovely house with a little shop at the front room in a really nice area near where I live- away from the gang shootings, boarded up burn out buildings and areas you can't walk alone at night.

Stupid lack on money. I need to a) get over anxiety so I can handle the job search process + hold a job or b) make a comfortable living out of making tshirts... everyone needs tshirts right???

Hmmm I feel like my life plan is somewhat like that of the underpants gnomes....

Cleared out the spare bedroom today and found an vintage pair of Converse sneakers in my size lurking under the bed. Threw them in the wash to get the dust off. I might sell them if they don't fit though. Also found my old leather dog collar from back when I was a hardcore Goth.
My mom thought it was an odd choice of attire. :p

F**king idiot of a doctor - though it sounds like one I had! I'd probably ring your GP in the morning and say it to them, you cannot be in that level of pain without something being wrong and them leaving you like that. I'm so angry for you - too many A&E doctors are like that, not caring at all.

    *hugs

I'm going to Kettlebell bootcamp in the morning. Bootcamp always scares me since the time my boobs popped out of my bra during jumping jacks. :o

Boobs stayed firmly in place today, all is well. :)
Whats the difference between kettlebell bootcamp and boot camp

Now my boobs have shrunk i dont have that problem i do however wear a support vest and it would be very hard for them to pop out.... I hate the plank i did it last night for the fist time ever i did it with weights (ouchie) its hard enough doing it without weights....

Normal bootcamp has jumping jacks and the plank and squats etc., (well my one does!) whereas kettlebell bootcamp works your whole body but all of the exercises involve kettlebells. It's pretty good.

Oh, and my boobs are small but they still managed to escape! I wasn't wearing a sports bra that day, just a balcony bra and out they came. :(

I hate the plank with weights too! It looks so easy when ya see someone else doing it!

That's so maddening! A&E doctors can be horrible at times. There was a woman on some chat show a while ago. She was saying she went to the A&E with something, like a really bad headache and the A&E doctor just laughed at her saying did she think she had a brain tumour or something and to feck off and stop being a hypochondriac! I've no idea how they get away with being so vile sometimes. *Hugs* for you, wish I could be more constructive. :(

I am so sick of crap doctors, you go to them for help and they make things worse! When I went to a doctor about my depression he straight out asked me "well are you planning killing yourself?" I said no (a lie) and he told me that I was fine and he didn't intend to be handing out drugs for nothing (I didn't even want to go on medication, I just needed help).

Hope you're okay Sar_bear, no one deserves a brush off like that from a doctor x *hugs*

I ordered 3 dresses and a skirt from them a while back- sizes seemed pretty much the same as you'd get in Awear. I had to send back one of the dresses though cause it had a hole.
I'd buy again from them though- good quality for what they charge :)

With A|Wear I find their tops to be true to size, a 10 is a 10, etc.

Their dresses and jeans are another story though. Man alive, I don't know how many dresses I tried on in there last year, varying sizes, none of which looked anyway decent on me (only because I carry weight on my stomach).
