Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Simpson, Hibbert or Walker!

I have 3 Newcastle players already but could swap R Taylor for Simpson and leave BAE on the bench till next wk and then get rid of him, or straight swap BAE for Walker?

    Right.....

    Sigurdsson to Dempsey or

Have you nobody else in midfield you could sell for Dempsey! Sigurdson is at home to Wolves this week, he could do well!! I know ill be keeping him in my team anyway!

Midfield is McClean/Valencia/Bale/Ben Arfa and Siggy

Top 3 is RVP/Rooney and Ageuro

Id sell McClean for Dempsey if you have the money in the bank or else sell Tony V, Nani seems to be the man in midfield for UTD now that hes back?

You could always sell one of your forwards to fee up cash?

    Just my two cents...

    3 Questions...

With BAE and Kaboul out, does that mean Gallas is now a shoe-in for the DGW (and the rest of the season)?

Who the hell will start in Chelsea's midfield over the 2 games? Money's not an issue (although I'd still like to keep it as cheap as possible)

What Lpool defender will start both games? I'd love to get Dagger but think he'll be wrapped in cotton wool for the final.

Skrtel probably. I wouldn't be sure about anyone else.

Do you really want a Spurs defender with these two out?

You could think like that which kinda would be my thinking too but there is the other argument that Spurs will play less expansive and more cautiously being in the frame of mind that they cant lose these games. Spurs could keep clean sheets if Spurs change away from their attacking mantra thats being used all season.

Anybody from this you would leave out? I'm pretty happy with it to be honest.

What about the last 2 gameweeks?

True, you should keep at least the subs for teams with favourable matches in the last two game weeks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 167 ✭✭duiggers

Having both Lamps and Mata is a waste of money and positions as both are likely to play only one game. What about Bale or VdV, even Pienaar or Petrov for cheaper options.

The rest of the team looks good for this double gameweek, wouldn't be sure about the weeks after though

I think my squad has pretty decent games in week 37 and 38. Dont have any man united or arsenal player which may go against me, but there is only a short run to the end of the season, and I am hoping to make enough points this week to win my money league.
If not, its squeaky bum time

Yep, Cahill and BAE getting injured had really f**ked me over.

Vorm or Bogdan in goals for this week? Vorm is the safe option but maybe Bogdan might be worth the risk??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,416 ✭✭✭Jimmy Iovine

First 4 point hit of the season. Had to do it with my injuries. Walcott and Tevez out for Jelavic and Dempsey.

BAE is still there. Bastard. I'll get him out next week.

Not looking forward to this week. Might drop Evans but then I only have Santon to come in for him. I'm banking on Pardew not dropping him. He said he's been in brilliant for lately. Hopefully that's not code for "I'm gonna drop him".

Same dilemma, Vorm should be good for 6 at home to Wolves but you never know. I have Boggy in at the moment but its one I'm looking at.

Yeah its a bot more risky doing Bogdan in goal but theres always the chance he might keep a clean sheet. I have Caulker in defense for this week so if Swansea keep a CS I won't totally miss out. The minimum you'd expect Bogdan to get over the two games is 3-4 points

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,784 ✭✭✭froog

in the bogdan vorm boat myself. it's a no brainer for me. vorm will most likely get 6, but bogdan should get at least 5 just from appearances and saves. and he's got two chances for a cleanie too.

How many lads has everyone got playing a dw this week? Only have 5 so thinking a 4 point hit to make it 7. Thinking of bringing Jelavic in for Rooney

Do Silva-> Piennar. Good fixtures for Piennar til end of season

Keep RVP. Norwich at home next week. Hopefully pick up something there

Have done all season. Think Mignolet has more chance of a clean sheet in 1 game than Schwazer in 2 games. Making a last ditch effort to crack the top 20k

Team sorted just cant decide on final place-
Choice of Valencia/Verm/ McClean/ Komp- toss up between Verm and Val goals in the city game but Verm playing well mmm
Best week in ages- nice to see people have tough choices and lots transfers and captain choices

    I'm taken a 16 point hit!

6 transfers (2 free) this week.

    Out go; Walcott,Kelly,Rooney,Ferguson,Varmaelen and Valencia.
    In come; Cabaye,Skertel,Saurez,Downing,Assou-Ekotto and Bale.

My team for next week will be
    Friedel,
    Skertel,Simpson,BAE;
    Cabaye,Bale,Downing ,Dempsey;
    Saurez,Cisse and RVP.
    Subs; Ruddy,Caulker,McAuley,McClean.

I'll have 10 players for the DGW.
I'm going to take a huge gamble on Liverpool doing something this week. They have been a bit unlucky recently, making chances but not scoring. Saurez or Cisse for captain, I think!
