So you think the warning could be correct?
    For many but not all.
My guess is inland and ground above 450ft will see mostly snow if not all snow and accumilations through the evening from the curling band near Dublin.
Ergo the warning was ropey but a reasonable call.
It could just as easily have been a bad call.
Thats how tight and marginal a situation we are in.

Remember we have lost our feed of polar air and dont get it back untill thursday so we are going to see a transition to mainly wintry mix on coasts at first and then on ground below 500ft untill thursday.
That transition will be happening tonight.
The only exception to this will be evaporative cooling which is when you have a heavy shower,it drops it's load so fast it hasnt time for to turn to rain when passing through the slightly warmer air near the ground.

Soaking wet, just thinking of the amount of snow we could have had if it was 1 or 2c colder! Probably around 15cms

Starting to freeze here we actually need showers and snow to stop the place becoming a skating ring

Kids here making the dirtiest snowmen you have ever seen. No boobs or willies but they have rolled up all the slush under the snow.

    Light snow atm.
