Ah bollix, I just bought it a couple of days ago. Ah well…

It does put you off buying games a bit because the last couple of months there's been a few games I had already bought - Rayman Origins, Unit 13 and now this. If they do Assassin's Creed next month I'll be miffed…

    Just trade them in immediately?

I might do, Street Fighter was 70% off and I think I got Unit 13 half price so I suppose I'm really not that hard done by. Rayman Origins was a download and I think I only got that a month before it went on PS Plus so that was a bit of a pisser. Besides maybe Killzone, I think I'll lay off getting games for a while as I have a fair old stockpile to get through at the moment.

I am on the fence with the Vita.

I saw this bundle on the German Amazon.

Console, 8GB memory card & Killzone Mercenary.

Don't know what to do :P

It's out of stock, do you think it will be honored?

TGS: Monster Hunter: Frontier G Announced for Vita
Vita fans finally have a Monster Hunter to look forward to in 2014 (in Japan, at least).

During the Tokyo Game Show today, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter: Frontier G will come to Vita in 2014.
On the game’s official site, Capcom says that the Vita version of Frontier G "can use the same data" as the PlayStation 3 version and that it will feature online play and that players can "connect with WiFi and play easily on the go." Quests will be playable by up to four players at the same time.
Capcom also confirmed that there will be an "exclusive world" in the PlayStation 3 version of Frontier G, with World A and B on PlayStation 3 and Vita, but World C available only to PS3 players. It will be possible for players to switch between worlds.
Vita fans have been waiting for a Monster Hunter on Vita since the platform launched, with rumors about Vita installments swirling since 2012 and reports of Monster Hunter 4 heading to Sony's portable. Capcom previously said it had "no plans" to introduce the franchise to Vita, though it appears to have changed its mind since April.
Monster Hunter: Frontier G was previously confirmed for PS3 and Wii U and has only been announced for release in Japan. You can find the first screenshots from the Vita version in our image gallery,

    Monster Hunter: Frontier G

This is good news. While I am not a fan of the series myself, this should continue the Vita's strong sales in Japan - and as we all know, the more consoles sold, the more likely developers will start creating content for it.

Fantastic news, was addicted to the original monster hunter on the ps2 and have been waiting for another monster hunter without stupid ad-hoc mode as its only online play

New Gravity Rush title teased by Sony in latest trailer
A new project relating to PS Vita title Gravity Rush is getting teased in a trailer from developer Team Gravity, a department within Sony's Japan Studio.

While little information about the game is available, the trailer offers a look at environment art as well as a glimpse of protagonist Kat. The teaser trailer ends with the words "Fall again" and "a new project by Team Gravity". It's unknown whether this refers to a sequel to the original game or DLC.

I really liked the first one despite the dodgy fighting mechanics. I really hope this is a sequel on Vita.

I've a Monster hunter game on the PSP and while I don't like them I know this is huge for the Vita in Japan.

It isn't huge in the slightest bit, that is the one MH game that no one in Japan cares about.

Bought my first Vita today, charging as I type :)

So quick question (apologies if this has come up before but it's a long thread :o )

I have a metric ****ton of PS+ vita titles waiting for me, on the PS3 my son & daughter have PSN sub-accounts on my PSN master account. Will they be able to sign in on the Vita after I have registered it to my account and play using their own save games and trophies or is it one vita = one account?

    Thanks.

One vita and one account at a time.

The simplest way other than backing up and restoring a lot is to have a memory card each, you sign into your account after and then use the card for that account.

Thanks Varik, after a bit of googling I was afraid of that. I have two memory cards so that's a start. Would they be able to play games from my PS+ if I put them onto a seperate memory card for them?

Has to be the main PS+ account I'm afraid. I'd this issue myself as I've to buy stuff off a UK account as my main one won't register my debit card. So my UK account has PS+ which means whatever + games I want to play on my Vita have to be played on my UK account.

Just finished The Walking Dead at the weekend. Absolutely brilliant game but the lag really was annoying at times, especially when it resulting in you dying because of it. Also an integrated control that was inbetween the two control options available would have been great and would have really shown off the Vita's pluses in terms of having both touchscreen and controllers. Apart from those minor enough quibbles though the game is excellent with an amazing story arc.

is there anyway i can get an email when a game comes out on the vita? i am specifically waiting on minecraft and terraria and would love a message when they are out for first day download! sorry if thats a really simple thing to do i'm not great at psn

I played it on the PC and never had any major issues, the odd lag here and there but wasn't a big deal.

Amazing game though, broke my heart 100 times over.

When Limbo came out on the Vita it was cross-buy, so because we already had it on PS3 from plus we were able to get the Vita version for free :D

Its a solid game but I wouldn't rush out for it. A little too easy for me, and I would be happy to play through the likes of Spyro and Crash

I did a review of it here if you want a gander?

Amazon have 32GB for £40 which is the cheapest I've seen. It's out of stock right now (due October 4th), but if you order it now they'll guarantee that price.

Just finished my first vita game uncharted golden abyss. Decent game 7/10 for me loosing a few marks for some unnecessary use of the touch pad. Graphics are good but the eyes for example could have been better. Average story line decent amount of action and puzzle.
All in all a decent adventure game killed a few hours. My first and maybe last uncharted game.
It was free though thanks ps plus!

Now it's onto more freebees gravity rush and a bit of sf v tekken.

Uncharted on the vita is maybe one of the best looking games still to this day on the vita as a lot of people forgot when playing the game is that its a handheld game not the full console uncharted. But I will say sit down and uncharted 2 and 3 on the PS3 and my god you are going to play maybe the best games ever on the PS3 as everything is just so good about them the story, the puzzles, the action basically you never know what your going to get next in the game

Ah don't get me wrong the graphics for the most part are very good but little things like the eyes for example could have been better.
In fairness without the good graphics I wouldn't be giving it it a 7 out of 10.
I just thought it was an average game tbh nothin particularly great about it even though it has so much hype behind it. I suppose I was expecting more due to they hype.
Nothing to hate just a lot of yeah I play through but goin through the motions.

On another vita note playing street fighter v tekken it's a pretty solid fighter so far I'm liking it.
As someone who plays fighting games with an arcade stick it'll be played sparingly on vita.

Like i said its a handheld console day 1 game. Losing the game marks over how the eyes look is just shocking and comes to show how you have no clue about game design as i am able to make basic games and you will more then likely be giving out about the basic design or my websites as you dont like the design of them.

What hype did it have on the vita ? as far as i can tell there was no hype for it ?

But isn't all 3rd person shooters basically the same in your words .....

I think any fighting game is just shocking after MK on the vita being so boring and such a slow fighter i will not give a fighter another go on the vita as the controls are not made for it. The only fighting games i like are the WWE games as there so much fun to play

I have 2 x 8gb cards already full on my new vita ( thank you Ps plus). So having looked around, Amazon appear cheapest for memory cards. 32gb @ £40.

Before I make the purchase does anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,553 ✭✭✭murphyebass

would you not just delete what you've finished thus allowing you to download something new?
eg i finished uncharted yesterday. I deleted it straight away to make room for others.
uncharted stays on my download list as long as im a ps plus member allowing me to redownload should i ever want another fo at it.
16 gb of games to me seems like a lot of games to be playing all at once.
This type of memory card management will cut down on backlog as you have finish or cut your losses and delete to move on to your next one.
And lets face it we all have a stupidly large backlog.

You could just back up the games you are not playing at the moment to your PS3 or PC/Mac with Content Manager and free up some space on your cards.
