Poppy & Jodie waffled incoherently at each other whilst saying each other's names ad nauseum.

The human turd, Ben Mitchell, told Popeye, Christian, that he fancied him. Popeye let him down gently. Gently pressed by Scar from the Lion King (the doctor) he then went and told the giant red-faced newborn in a man's body (Phil) that Popeye 'touched' him, fuelling the tomato-faced bigot's assumptions and sending him, no doubt, into a violent rage.....

Btw, this just occured to me tonight- whats the story with masood, is his name masood masood?? As the family name is masood, as in zainab masood but thats also his first name...werid? Or have i got it wrong?!

His first name is Masood. In some parts of India, the woman takes her husband's first name after marriage and it becomes the family name. Masood's actual surname is Ahmed.

Forgot to say, how vile is Ben!? I know he's mixed up, blah blah.. but Phil could have actually KILLED Christian with that baseball bat while Ben just stood back and watched the recriminations of his lies escalate.. again.

I felt sorry for poor Christian tonight. Syed just didn't defend him at all. "Well, you have been spending a lot of time with Ben.." It doesn't make him a child molester! I was glad Roxy stood up for him, she's a good loyal friend to have on your side.

I miss Christian already. And he always looks really sexy after being beaten up!

As Yusef and Zainab get ready to move to Pakistan, a secret of Yusef's threatens to ruin their plans.

EastEnders character Tamwar Masood will reportedly be badly disfigured during the shock Albert Square fire on Christmas Day.

Tamwar (Himesh Patel) will be required to undergo plastic surgery after getting caught up in the B&B blaze that will conclude the ongoing Masood family and Yusef Khan (Ace Bhatti) storyline.

Viewers will see Tamwar's young marriage to Afia (Meryl Fernandes) put under pressure by his devastating injuries,

Ugh, he's so vile. I love how he delighted in telling Masood how he had 'moved in' after spending one night on the sofa. Talk about jumping the gun!

Yeah, the actress that plays Zainab is Indian British and Masood is of Indian parentage but is actually Kenyan British.

Ya - that would be my instant reaction as well. But maybe that's too predictable. It's a bad move though - too many good characters leaving and already gone and that doesn't paint a good picture for the future of the soap.

I've heard that he comes back at Christmas. It's only a short break.

I think the problem there is that there would be outrage by gay rights groups. I remember reading when Syed came out that gay rights groups were really pleased at the positive portrayal of homosexuality in Eastenders, etc.
They were especially pleased that they sort of debunked the "pray away the gay" fallacy.

I think it'd be a bit far-fetched for them to now turn around and start saying that you can just decide to go back to women, unless they make it manifestly clear that Syed is bi-sexual (and I think the writers have made it clear that he is not).

I could be wrong though.

thats true. The new characters are just not the same. the moons will never be the mitchells.
they need a new peggy type lady in some form.

2. pat (going to miss when gone)
3. heather (going to miss too)
4. grant mitchell
5. dirty den
6. ethel skinner - they really need a new character like this that could be friends with dot and they would have fierce banter together.
Dot is one of the best characters in it now I think.

As a worried Pat digs out an old newspaper with the headline: "Homeless man identified from car lot fire". Phils worst fears are confirmed when the picture in the paper shows the same boy as the photograph.
As a stunned Janine listens Pat reveals the truth about the car lot fire explaining that Frank paid Phil to start the fire as an insurance scam however they were both unaware that a homeless man had taken refugee in one of the cars and he accidently burnt to death. I'd say at this stage the producers just want people wondering 'what the hell is going on here?'.

I very much doubt they expected anyone to 'get it' now.

It will be interesting to see how the story pans out.
